Our team had the honor of collaborating, designing, and producing the San Antonio AIDS Foundation‘s Official Fiesta WEBB Party! This year’s theme was designed by Ken Slavin, chief Advancement Officer at SAAF – “Stayin’ Alive” an ultimate disco party hosted at the historic Aztec Theatre in the heart of San Antonio. We worked closely with Ken (San Antonio’s PR + Development genius and jazz crooner) and the SAAF team to create a strategic event plan and budget to ensure the non-profit met its goals to create an event that not only raised money for their life-saving programs, but showcased a uniquely fabulous event. Working with Ken and the SAAF team was an absolute joy! We made a great team combining our efforts for an epic party with a purpose!
SAAF’s Vision: Design an event and atmosphere where guests could step into a moment where they could step into the glittering past of Studio 54, abandon all pretense and dance the night away without judgment, or fear. Create a vibe that encapsulates the era without the oversaturated Studio 54 logo and decor, and instead focus on the iconic disco ball as our centerpiece.
As a part of our strategy we worked closely with Ken to learn about SAAF’s past events and work towards designing a new concept. There is always a drag show component to this beloved Fiesta event and the Aztec Theatre has a massive cavernous black stage that felt empty, leaving the show girls feeling removed from their audience. We took this HUGE stage and turned it into an audience-interactive club because we LOVE drag shows and understand the importance of an intimate show setting. Together, Ken and our team designed an amazing stage show which he turned into a sponsorship opportunity for SAAF. He successfully sold stage space to sponsors for a unique VIP stage presence.
We worked with the incredible local audio visual company, AVTS on a unique stage design and had the distinct pleasure of connecting with IKEA who made our stage vision a reality.
The Idea: A massive disco ball as our centerpiece with a fabulous on-stage VIP lounge, and a catwalk that allowed our performers to go into the crowd for their performance. And it all came to life! We even suspended DJ Cob Web above the disco ball and added beaded curtains for an intimate on-stage vibe.
Our former client and besties, The Bubble Bath Carwash, sponsored the bubbles that cascaded into the lobby onto eight spinning disco balls and go-go dancers who helped create our vibe into the disco fueled evening. From top to bottom we designed pop-up performances and created personal moments for guests to experience uniquely memorable moments.
We were so excited to work with American Idol sensation, Ada Vox and the amazing show girls from Rey Lopez Entertainment company, along with other local entertainers who truly embodied the spirit of our theme.
Social Media + Influencers
Our team adores social influencers because they embody modern advertising and outreach.
We worked with a select group of influencers who promoted the event, attended and posted during the event and posed after reaching thousands of followers on instragram and facebook. Collaborating with social influencers is a must-do component for any event promotions your business, company, or non-profit is hosting.
