04 Jan Opening a Restaurant in a post-COVID world.
Opening a restaurant in September 2020 seemed like a wild idea at the time. 2020 was already such a mess and being approached to open a new restaurant felt like it could be a complete failure when so many businesses were closing their doors.
However, we have a soft spot for taking leaps of faith during dark times.
We worked closely with the Mosaic Hotel Group out of California on the opening of Camp Outpost Co. in San Antonio’s Southtown District. This was one of the first restaurant openings in a post-COVID 19 world. Through strategic public relations, influencer engagement, and social media marketing we successfully opened Camp Outpost Co. in September 2020.
Launching Camp’s Fast-Fine-Dining concept was a ray of sunshine! They designed an uber-cool space with indoor and outdoor dining options with an organic menu and one of the first restaurants with an all-drinks-on-tap system, as well as, a simplistic ordering system that allows guests the ability to roast, toast, and boast safely.

Situated in an industrial warehouse space in South Town / King William, San Antonio, Camp features a custom world-class rotisserie, a spacious patio, communal fire pit, and a vintage Airstream bar evoking a nostalgic camp-like ambiance. Camp offers a fast-fine model of service which ensures swift ordering and attentive, hill country hospitality.”
Opening a restaurant in a post-COVID 19 era had its hurdles, however, we knew we could help the team open safely and with success. We developed an outline that focused on four tiers of marketing and pr:
- Influencer Engagement – Produced the FIRST San Antonio Influencer post-COVID with social distancing, engaging photo-worthy moments, swag promoting safety, lifestyle, and foodie vibes.

- Local VIP Private Preview
In the end, combining the above-mentioned tiers alongside Camp’s brilliant brand identity, incredible food, and a team led by Dan Ward was in fact a wildly successful idea.
We are forever grateful for the opportunity and trust Camp’s team gave to us. It was incredible to produce opening events and create a buzz around such a cool restaurant.
